GUGLIELMO MARCONI: RADIO COMMUNICATION PIONEER AND PHISICS NOBEL PRIZE WINNER 1909

On the occasion of the Guglielmo Marconi Nobel Prize centenary, the House of Music has organised a precious exhibition on the radio to remember the great scientist.
A selection of radio sets coming from the Patané collection and containing both civil and military equipments has been exhibited in the House of Sound. There were also workshops and scientific lectures given by radio transmission experts.

Conference by Barbara Valotti, Director of the Museum at the Marconi Foundation.

Follows:
“Radio waves from near”
Live demonstrations by the Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale (Industry Technical High School) “Leonardo da Vinci”, Parma.
Italian Radio Amateurs Association of Parma.

Wednesday, May 27th

“Guglielmo Marconi scientific legacy”
Conference by Professor Gabriele Falciasecca, President of the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation.

Follows:
“Radio waves from near”

Guided tours of the exhibitions
by Dr Carlo Vignali - Italian Radio Amateurs Association, Parma.

Organised in cooperation with the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation, the National Committee for the Guglielmo Marconi Nobel Prize centenary celebrations, the Inter-university Consortium for Telecommunications, the Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale "Leonardo da Vinci”, the Liceo Scientifico Guglielmo Marconi and the Italian Radio Amateurs Association of Parma.
